This is Zorro, he has spent a very long time with us at the centre and it’s time to see if we can find a suitable forever home for him ❤️

When Zorro came into our care he wouldn’t let us stroke him/put a harness on and it was difficult to take him on walks. We spent a long time gaining his trust, after three months he allowed us to put a harness on and he has gradually made progress in other ways. With the staff he is now a cuddle muffin and very affectionate although there are limitations to what he feels comfortable with still. Due to Zorros behaviour we would need a suitable adopter to spend time coming to the centre for potentially many meet and greets.

We assumed that Zorro had never been around many other dogs as he was quite reactive at first, thankfully he walks well with most of the other dogs at the centre but definitely prefers the company of small breed females to walk with, he adores Pip the farm dog.

Zorro loves playing with toys more than most dogs we’ve ever known! He can certainly shift when a ball is thrown for him too, we’ve never seen a Frenchie move so fast!

We are looking for an adopter to have experience with dogs who have behavioural issues and the management of these behaviours.

The staff have a bond with Zorro, we love him to bits and of course want the best for him, he deserves a second chance. He will not be an easy dog to win over but will be very rewarding once he’s bonded with you❤️
