Our Mission

To provide a safe and secure environment for local stray and unwanted animals whilst treating each animal in their own right through financing, medical and accommodation expenses until new homes can be found.

We’re proud to say that we provide the highest standards of welfare possible.  A S.A.R.A. animal is always a S.A.R.A. animal throughout their stay with us at the centre and when they are adopted.  We offer lifelong support and care for all our animals and owners who adopt from us.

Values

·      Our animals will be found loving homes that are suitable for their individual needs.

·      We will provide support and advice to our adopters and foster carers whenever they need it.

·      We will ensure that the older animals are not overlooked by offering a pension plan which covers the cost of age related health issues.

·      No animal will be put to sleep except when it is the only humane option.

Ann Prosser and a group of her friends started S.A.R.A. to help stray and unwanted animals.  Ann wanted to ensure these animals had a second chance at life by providing a safe place for them until new homes could be found.  Ann’s dedication, hard work and love for animals has meant thousands of our furry friends have already found their new loving homes. The work we do continues!
