Meet Luca and Likke, an inseparable pair of Shih Tzu’s who are best friends and looking for a forever home together. At 8 and 6 years old, these two are incredibly cute, loving, and have been a joy to care for.
About Luca:
Luca, the older of the two at 8 year old, is a sweet and reserved little guy. He may take a bit of time to warm up to new people, but once he feels comfortable, he absolutely loves a good fuss and will happily sit and relax beside you for some affection. He has been walked by all the volunteers.
About Likke: (Like-a) for this who are unsure of how to say her name.
Likke, the younger at 6 years old, is the more outgoing of the duo. She loves everyone she meets and quickly becomes friends. Her friendly and adorable personality is impossible to resist, and she’s sure to bring lots of joy and smiles to her new home.
Important considerations:
Prefer their own company:
While Luca and Likke walk well with other dogs at the centre, they prefer to keep their distance and enjoy the company of each other and whoever is walking them. They thrive in a peaceful environment where they can be the focus of your attention.
Grooming Needs:
Luca Likke will need regular grooming to keep them comfortable and healthy.
Bonded Pair:
These two are very close and must find a home where they can stay together. Their bond is a source of comfort and happiness for them both.
Health Needs:
Like has arthritis in one of her legs, for which she is on medication, and she is currently being treated for an ear infection. The pair have been working on building up their strength and stamina through gradually increased walks, which will require ongoing care and patience. Despite these challenges, they both love to be out and about.
Luca and Likke are incredibly loving little dogs who deserve a second chance just like any rescue animal, they are eager to find their forever home together where they can continue to thrive.
