Jake is lively and loving 6-year-old Jack Russell cross who is full of energy and personality. He absolutely adores people.

Jake has walked well with the other dogs at the centre and has enjoyed their company. However, we feel that Jake would thrive best as the only pet in a home.

Jake enjoys going for his walks and will need an owner who can provide him with the exercise he needs. He is well behaved when he is out on his walks.

Special considerations

Jake has severe separation anxiety. He will need owners who have the patience, understanding and willingness to help him overcome this. Training takes time, commitment and consistency. Gradual desensitisation, where Jake is slowly accustomed to being alone for short periods, can take weeks or months.

If the right steps are taken, separation anxiety can be reduced over time, leading to a happier and healthier dog. This is our hope for Jake.
