Over the past 20 year S.A.R.A the charity has grown and achieved so much thanks to the help and support from the public and volunteers. We now have four full time very committed staff and our vision for the future is to help raise awareness and teach people about the needs of animals and how to care for them. Our main objective will always be to continuing to rescue and re-home stray and unwanted pets. With the public’s goodwill and support we would like to continue to raise enough funds to develop further;

  • Building a main reception area. We currently have a grade 2 listed building that we would like to convert into a reception area.
  • As the years have gone on it is clear to see that the demand for rescue spaces increase every year therefore we aim to increase the amount of dogs we can take by building more kennels. We hope to have four new kennels by the end of 2017.
  • We would like to build an all weather enclosed play area for our cats filled with ramps, tunnels and climbing frames so that they can enjoy some outside space whilst they wait for their new families.
  • Also an all year round exercise/ play area for dog. The exercise area we currently use is often unsuitable due to poor drainage conditions.
  • In the near further we aim to have a S.A.R.A junior membership to help educate young people about animal care and encourage more parents to become more involved. Our Arundel centre can accommodate groups of school children and college students.
