Hello my name is Alfie, I am an 11 year old Westie cross. I came into kennels after my owner could no longer care for me. I get well cared for at S.A.R.A but its not the same as being in a home. I find it difficult being in a kennel in my old age and it doesn’t help being unable to see very well. I am a nice quiet dog who enjoys his exercise especially my walks around the woods. I am looking for a nice quiet home with no other pets or young children as i get easily frightened because i cannot see very well. I just want an owner who understands my needs and will love me
Marley is a 6 year old male cross breed who came into us after his owners health meant that they could no longer give him the care he needed. Marley gets on well with other dogs and adores the volunteers here at S.A.R.A. He is a fantastic dog who has lots of energy and he likes his long walks and playing fetch with this toys. Marley would make a great family pet. Reserved.
Lady is a 5 year female staffie cross who came into our care after her owner could no longer care for her. Lady is a lovely dog who enjoys nothing more than a good run around on the field playing catch with her ball. Lady is a clever and very obedient dog who will make a lovely addition to the family. We are looking for a home with no young children or other dogs. Reserved.
Hello, this is Minnie. Minnie is a toy poodle, 6-7 years old. She is a lovely little dog, very friendly, intelligent and affectionate. She settled well in her foster home, but sadly Minnie has had to return to kennels. Minnie would love to find a forever home with someone who enjoys walking, playing games and having cuddles. Minnie is going to need an experienced dog owner who will continue with her training and understand her behavioral requirements. Minnie is good with dogs when out walking but would prefer a home as an only pet. Minnie cannot live with children. We think this little girl, with some training will make someone a beautiful companion and has so much potential, we just have to find a suitable home. OUT ON TRIAL
Rosie arrived at Saltburn Animal Rescue Association at the end of November 2015 as a stray at only five years old. At first glance, Rosie was absolutely skeletal and her coat was in poor condition. Once we had had a look at her, it was obvious that she was extremely dehydrated and her gums were white! We rushed her to the vets where she immediately drank five bowls of water and was placed on a drip. She was in such poor condition that she had become diabetic! She has been as good as gold the entire time. The vets are still confident she will go in to remission from her diabetes. Rosie has insulin injections after her meals which are 12hrs apart. She will actually finish her dinner and come over for her injection! In the last 13 months, I have got to know Rosie so well and to see how far she has come is amazing. Even more amazing is how she has taken it all in her stride. Rosie enjoys her walks with the other dogs and playing with squeaky toys but her favourite thing, I think, is having her tummy tickled. She will lie down on the grass for a tickle and I am sure she would lay there for hours if she could. There isn’t a single day where Rosie doesn’t make me smile. She is a truly spectacular dog and really deserves an amazing home of her own. Out on trial.
Dede (black domestic short hair) & Dolly (Black and brown domestic long hair) are a pair of 1 year old females that came in to our care after there owners daughter became allergic to them. These two cats have a very loving and friendly nature and enjoy lots of attention. We are looking for a home where they can continue to live together as they get on so well. Dede had kittens with her when she arrived at the centre and both her and Dolly helped raise the little ones, all of the kittens have long since gone and we are really hoping these two find a loving home as they have now been here for far too long. Thomas is around 8 years old and came in to our care after he was found as a stray. This poor cat looks like he has had a hard life and was thought to have been abandoned by his previous owner. Thomas is looking for a home with access to the outdoors and could possibly live with a female cat. Thomas has been with us a long time now and although we are rather fond of this chunky little man:) we hope that someone will give this little boy a loving home to call his own very soon. OUT ON TRIAL.
