Shop work

Tiny it may be, but the S.A.R.A. Charity Shop in Guisborough is a life- line to our animal residents   providing much needed revenue particularly to cover vets expenses.   It can only open when volunteers man it, so please think about playing a vital role in the fund-raising sector.   Guisborough is a thriving market town, friendly people, chatty customers, so why not give it a go?     “Bargains galore as a bonus!

Lots of premises and boundaries means lots of maintenance and repairs.

Cleaning

KENNEL CLEANING

A daily chore, scrubbing and brushing, gets the blood circulating so who needs gym membership. Keep fit free at the sanctuary!

CATTERY CLEANING

Each cat’s home is cleaned daily. UPVC   structures make lighter work than concrete kennel floors!

Animal feeding and drinking bowls mount up. Marigolds on!

LAUNDRY

Always mountains of bedding to collect, machine wash, peg- out and fold. An endless task – could you help?

Cats

CAT SOCIALISING

Each cat pen has a chair for adults to sit and talk or play with the cats.   Most of them will waste no time jumping onto your lap for a cuddle.

CAT GROOMING

To avoid fur ball or excess hair in the pen regular grooming is essential and very calming for both recipient and groomer.

KITTEN PLAYING

Often there are kittens at the sanctuary who simply crave attention, handling, and play.   They need stimulating and early human contact – could you be that person? Hilarity at its best watching kitten antics!

Dogs

DOG WALKING

Lots of different breeds, how they all love to get out of their kennels and be in the fresh air.

DOG GROOMING

A relaxing activity for both dogs and volunteers!

DOG SOCIALISING

We have a wonderful dog lounge where you can sit and provide TLC and affection in a domestic setting, tummy tickling sessions are particularly appreciated.

DOG EXERCISING

An enclosed large pound on the field allows the dogs space to run freely and play.   Great fun watching them enjoy freedom running after balls or splashing in the paddling pool when it’s hot.

PUPPY LOVE

Is this more your scene?   They are so gorgeous and cute, but also So very demanding and need care, care and more time consuming care.
