Daisy came to S.A.R.A. through an unfortunate change in his owners circumstances. Daisy is a beautiful cat who is 4yrs old. When Daisy first came to us she was quite shy but has now come out of her shell and is enjoying getting to know all of our cat cuddlers. Daisy would need to be an only pet and in a home with no young children. Daisy is calm and reserved but very affectionate girly 🙂 OUT ON TRIAL
Pickles came to S.A.R.A. when her owner sadly passed away. Pickles is an active 14yr old girl who enjoys running up and down the corridor and she loves having a good fuss in her bed. Unfortunately, Pickles has started to stress groom and we are desperate to find her a loving home of her own. Pickles is looking for a home with no other pets and no young children. This little lady needs to be the only princess in the house 🙂 Pickles is an indoor cat. OUT ON TRIAL.
Boris is an incredibly cute 12yr old staffy who came to S.A.R.A. as a stray. Boris loves his strolls, cuddles, naps and carrying his tennis ball around his garden 🙂 Boris is virtually blind. Boris isn’t remotely fazed by this and he quickly adapted to his surroundings in his lovely new home 🙂
Jeff is a very special 1yr old crossbreed who came to S.A.R.A. as a stray. Jeff loves going for walks with his dog friends and he is desperate to play with them, he just isn’t sure how. On arrival, it became clear that Jeff hadn’t experience a great deal. He was very nervous of new things and people. To add to this, Jeff was very underweight, had a swelling from severe trauma to his head and had many scars on his back which the vets suggested were burns. We have spent a lot of time introducing Jeff to different people, gazebos, wheelbarrows, carrier bags and much more! Jeff has now gained plenty of weight and confidence. The swelling on his head has decreased in size but is still visible. Sadly, the vets think the burn scars will stay with Jeff forever. We now feel Jeff is ready to find his new home! Jeff would be looking for a home with no children and with a female dog who can take him under her wing.
Chelsea is a beautiful 9yr old staffy who came to S.A.R.A. when her owners became ill. Chelsea is a fantastic dog who loves to play with the tennis balls in the pen and going for long walks around the woods where she walks well on lead and can walk well with dogs she knows. Chelsea would be suitable for most homes and could live with children 6yrs and we feel Chelsea would need a home as an only pet. This gorgeous girl is not keen on kennel life and she is desperate to find her forever home. OUT ON TRIAL.

On Wednesday 30th May 2018 “Support Adoption For Pets” presented the charity with a huge cheque of £120,000, Wow!
S.A.R.A had approached Support Adoption For Pets earlier in the year regarding a grant for a specific project. This entailed revamping and renovating our old kennel block that can house 8 dogs.Certainly a mammoth task including new drainage system, crucial structural work as well underfloor heating,energy-efficient headlamps and contemporary interiors that would ensure a much improved accommodation for the canine residents.
Support Adoption For Pets visited the farm to discuss plans and were most impressed with the ethos, ambiance of the place, staff professionalism and dedication along with the facilities already in place. In other words they fell in love with S.A.R.A!
Consequently their Trustees agreed to donate not just a part of the building costs but the entire sum.Representatives of the organisation including a film crew attended the celebration day, filming and interviewing all aspects and supporters of the animal sanctuary.
His Worship the Mayor of Redcar and Cleveland and the Mayoress made a surprise visit as well as Pets @ Home and Sainsburys staff both are avid supporters of S.A.R.A. Sainsburys donated lots of delicious foods and Renaissance patisserie made a lovely cake for the special occasion.
Food which was plentiful,BBQ buzzed,JMS ukulele band played so all was singing and dancing. When the cheque was physically handed over screams of delight were heard and an outpouring of gratitude and amazement followed.
Work will start this summer with completion in the autumn.Support Adopting for Pets will be kept in the loop with regular photographs and progression reports.

S.A.R.A dogs “the future spells luxury for you”
Banksy is a beautiful 6yr old who came to S.A.R.A. as a stray via Saltburn Vets. Banksy has clearly been a much loved pet as he has, at some point in his life, had his tail amputated leaving him with a little stump. Banksy is a very laid back cat and therefore would want a calm home with older children and no other pets.
Fred is a gorgeous 6yr old who came to S.A.R.A. as a stray. Fred came to us with a few cuts and bruises after being out on the streets for quite some time. Fred has settled straight in with us and seems to be enjoying the comforts of the cattery and he has put street life behind him!!! Fred would need to be homed as an only cat and would need to be able to have access to the outdoors when he is ready.
Please come and celebrate with us on May 30th at 14:30 (2:30pm) at Foxrush Farm.
Support Adoption For Pets (Pets At Home) are going to present S.A.R.A with a
