Analox return to SARA to help prepare for open day

A group of Analox staff visited SARA on Wednesday 7 September, helping look after the animals as well as general cleaning around the Arundel Centre in preparation for SARA’s open day.

The charity day was attended by a mix of staff from different departments, some of whom hadn’t taken part in a charity day before.  Their help was much appreciated at a very busy time for SARA.

On Wednesday 22nd June 2016 we has a visit from a team of volunteers from Virgin Media.  This was on one of their charity days where the company grants them a day away from work to work for a charity.

The all had a good time walking,  cleaning dog kennels, cuddling and cleaning cat pens, gardening and extending the play area for dogs.

The staff and the animals greatly appreciate the help this visit gave us.  Jobs that we find we hard to accomplish can be done on these visits.

We now have tired dogs, chilled out cats, a tidy garden and a larger dog play area.  Thanks again to the 10 people who volunteered.

If your company is willing to give charity days to their staff and you would like to visit our centre please ring us on 01642 488108

On Sunday 5th June SARA held their annual Strawberry and Chocolate Fayre at Foxrush Farm. There was a good attendance with everyone enjoying the strawberries and cream provided by Tesco. The event also included a display of flyball by Middlesbrough Dog Club, a parade of dogs for rehoming and those who have been rehomed and had come back to see us. It gives the staff and volunteers a boost to see their former charges so healthy and happy. Our thanks to everyone who supported the event by attending, volunteering and the staff for the great work they do on a daily basis. SARA raised £631.34.

On Sunday 22nd May SARA held its annual Sponsored Dog Walk. A number of canine friends brought their owners to enjoy the walks through Foxrush Community Forest some even completed both. Amongst our canine visitors there were a number who had been rehomed from SARA and it was great to see how happy and keen all our canine visitors were (also their owners). Altogether we raised £414 with more sponsorship yet to come in. Thanks to all who supported us by participating, helping and sponsoring.

DO YOU ENJOY HAVING A GO ON THE TOMBOLA?
URGENT APPEAL

Most of us love the tombola but we could be in danger of not having the chance. Our stocks of prizes are very low and if we do not get some more very soon we may not be able to offer this popular game.
