Meg

“Meg was a beautiful Dog that had been treated truly unfairly and given an awful start in life, we found her and she chose to follow us home, if she had not done this then we would never have been able to have had some of the happiest moments in recent year’s.
Meg will always be a reminder that no matter how old a dog is they all deserve a second chance at happiness, she is sorely missed x”

Tribute to Maddie

She was adopted 4 years ago and as her owner Gemma White said they were beautiful years. She died on the 12th July2016 she was approximately 13/14 years old.

Jenna

Jenna is a small staffie girl who came into S.A.R.A and was not in the best condition. After a short while she came out of her shell and with a few good meals is looking really well. Jenna is looking for a loving home as an only pet. Jenna will make a fantastic companion for someone or a family with older children.

Max

Max is a lovely old boy who SARA are looking for a foster home for, where he can live out his twilight years in comfort. He is a lovely dog who loves attention and going for long walks. He would like a home with children and possibly with other animals where he can gets lots and lots of TLC. ***Please note Max is available for long term foster were SARA will pay for all food and medical bills.***

Jake

A note from Jake’s family.

We adopted Jake in March 2013 & very sadly had to have Jake put to sleep in September 2017 due to nose cancer. During the time we had him he proved to be a very loyal & loving dog.

We loved & will miss you always Jake. Run free on Rainbow Bridge. XX

Finch

Photos of Finch

Finch is about 10yrs old and is one of many poor lurchers that has been used for working then neglected and cast out as a stray to fend for himself. As a result he came into SARA in a dreadful state, very underweight, covered in scars and terrified. Staff and volunteers have put endless hours of TLC into bringing this placid and gentle giant back up to full health.  As with many members of the sight hound family he walks perfectly on the lead and enjoys nothing more that pottering around walking then snoozing in front of a nice warm fire for the rest of the day.  He is now in long term foster.
