The next monthly meeting of S.A.R.A. will be held on 2^nd May, at 7.30pm in the TocH premises, Albion Terrace, Saltburn.  New members are always very welcome.

5^th May – Members of SARA will be holding a collection at Windlebridge Garden Nursery, Middlesbrough Road, Guisborough.  All donations will go to the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and Re-homing Centre Fund.

12th May – SARA will be holding a Table Top Sale in the Saltburn Community Centre from 10am to 4pm.  Refreshments will be on sale.  All proceeds will go to the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and Re-homing fund.

Sunday 27^th May – SARA will be holding their Annual Sponsored Dog Walk on Sunday 27^th May, at Foxrush Farm, our Sanctuary and Re-homing Centre, Kirkleatham Lane, Redcar, TS10 5NJ from 11am to 2pm.  Parking will be available on the field of Foxrush.

There will be two walks that will both start from the field at Foxrush. One will be 30 minutes and the second 1 hour.  After starting from the field, both walks will be held in the pleasant surroundings of the Foxrush Community woodland.

Owners who have had a dog from us are invited to take part in the walk, and also the general public with their pets. There will also be some of our dogs that are looking for new homes. Dogs that have been re-homed usually wear green ribbons and those that are looking for homes wear red.  If you don’t have a dog we will lend you one.  There will be various stalls and refreshments, including tombola, pet stall, home made cakes, raffle, etc.  Come along with family, friends and pets and take part in what is always an enjoyable day.    Sponsor forms will be available from Foxrush Farm, and our Charity shop in Guisborough. Funds recently raised. – Easter Fayre held in Marske Hall £523.73.  SARA thanks everyone who made this event such a success.

6^th and 9^th April – Members of SARA will be holding a stall at Pets at Home, Skippers Lane, on 6^th and 9^th April.  Come along and learn more about SARA.

7^th April – SARA will be holding an Easter Fayre on Saturday 7^th April, from 10am to 2pm, at Marske Hall, (formerly Leonard Cheshire Home). Stalls will include books, tombola, raffle and homemade cakes.  Refreshments will be on sale.

21^st April – A Coffee Morning will be held in Marske Leisure Centre, from 10am to 12noon.  There will be a variety of stalls including books, bric-a-brac, tombola, cakes.

All proceeds will go to the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and Re-homing Fund.

The next Monthly Meeting and the Annual General Meeting of S.A.R.A. will be held on 7^th March, at 7.30pm, in the TocH premises, Albion Terrace, Saltburn.  All members of the public are cordially invited to attend.

Saturday 17^th March – Members of S.A.R.A. will be holding a Table Top Sale in The Community Centre, Saltburn. Refreshments will be on sale.

All proceeds will go towards the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and Re-homing Fund.

Here are a few pictures of a group of people who raised £150:00 and some food for us. They are VW beetle enthusiasts who have a yearly rally to
raise funds and this year decided to donate it to SARA. A Lady called Tracy Wilson brought the cheque up with a group of the enthusiasts to have a look around. Our sincere thanks go to them, for choosing us this year.

2^ndJULY 2011 – The S.A.R.A. Annual Fun Dog Show will be held at Foxrush Farm, Kirkleatham Lane,  Redcar TS10 5NJ on Saturday 2^nd July, from 11am – 4pm.  The Dog Show has 21 classes – Judging commences at 11.30am.  Entries on the dayat the ringside £1.00 per dog per class.

There is plenty of parking at Foxrush.  It is hoped the weather will be lovely, so come along with your pets, family and friends for a fun day out in pleasant surroundings. There will be a variety of stalls and homemade refreshments.  Should the weather be not too good, stalls
and refreshments will now be under cover.

There will be a parade of dogs looking for homes between 12.45pm and 1.00pm.  A break for lunch will be held between 1.00pm and 1.30pm. Schedule of Classes can be obtained from Foxrush Farm, and the S.A.R.A. Charity Shop, Guisborough, or ring our helpline Monday to Friday from 10am-2pm on 01642/488108.

NEW EVENTS COMING UP:

4th June – A collecting day will be held in Saltburn, on Saturday 4^th June in aid of the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary Fund.

11^th June – Members of S.A.R.A. are holding a Strawberry and Chocolate Fayre, at Foxrush Farm, Kirkleatham Lane, Redcar. TS105NJ on Saturday 11^th June, from 1pm to 4pm. There will be delicious home- made refreshments, and a variety of stalls.   Dogs and their families welcome, enjoy a lovely afternoon, whilst supporting S.A.R.A. your local animal rescue charity.

12th June - S.A.R.A. will be holding a stall at the Guisborough Town Fair on Sunday 12^th June.

25^th June – A Charity Night will be held at the Erimus Quoits and Rifle Social Club, Cumberland Road, Linthorpe, Middlesbrough, on Saturday 25^th June, at 7.30pm.  The evening will be held in aid of S.A.R.A. and Macmillan Nurses. Tickets  £2.50 will be available from S.A.R.A. Charity Shop Guisborough,  Erimus Club or ring 01642 818208.  There will be a buffet, tombola, Disco, Bingo and raffle.

The members of S.A.R.A. would like to thank the Marske Fishermen’s Choir, for the excellent concert which they gave in support of the Foxrush Farm Sanctuary and re-homing fund.  The total amount raised was £720 and we are most grateful to them and also for the generosity of  all  who attended.
