Luna

Luna is a beautiful 3 year old cross breed female who came into the centre as a stray. Whilst at the centre she has shown herself to be a lovely dog with a very sweet nature. She is a small girl and loves to spend the days playing with her toys and then curling up for a snooze on someone’s knee. She is looking for a new family to love and call her own and would happily live with a male dog and children. She will make a fantastic addition to any family who offer her a bit of tlc and a warm bed.

Sky

Sky is a 1 year old stunning Husky x Collie cross. Sky has a wonderful temperament and is looking for a home with a family who can give her plenty of exercise. She has shown herself to be a star at the centre and is fantastic with other dogs and behaves well both on and off the lead. She is very keen to please and would benefit from a family who have had dogs before and have another male dog for her to play with and to keep her company.

Diego – under assessment

Lucy

Lucy is a Saluki xWhippet who came into the centre through no fault of her own. She is a very sweet middle aged girl, and she is now looking for a new home where she can get the TLC that she desperately needs. She would love a family with another dog who she can play with and who can give her a bit of confidence so that she can see how fun life can be.

Buster

Buster is a lab cross , who came into the centre due to a relationship break up. He is a lovely boy who loves nothing more than sunbathing in the garden and pottering around the house. He would make a very loving and loyal companion for the family who adopts him.

Blue

Blue is a 5yr old border collie who came into SARA after being thrown out of a car at the centre. Sadly the ordeal traumatised Blue after he desperately tried to follow his owners as they drove off and luckily survived crossing 2 main roads before being caught. After taking a while to settle down after his ordeal Blue has now come out of his shell and has become a very affectionate dog, who is now ready to find a new loving family to call his own. Blue is looking for a family who have owned border collies before, and where he can be the centre of attention. He loves to play ball and does get along with some other dogs, but he has been allowed to get into a state of being very overweight and needs help to lose this so that he can be the border collie he was born to be!

Jack

Jack is an 8year old boy who came into the centre through no fault of his own. He is an absolutely lovely dog who gets on fantastically well with other animals and loves going out for walks and sunbathing. He really is a superstar and everyone at the centre loves him, he walks very well on the lead and will make a fantastic loyal companion for the family that comes and rescues him.

Nikita

Nikita is a cuddly 8 year old Akita who came into SARA through no fault of her own. She is one of the loveliest and sweetest dogs at the centre and everyone who meets her falls in love with her. She acts like a giant puppy and is full of fun and games, she wants plenty of cuddles and is a very well behaved lady. Staff and volunteers at the centre would love to see her in a new home where she can be the centre of attention and get all the love that she deserves. Due to Nikitas circumstances we are looking for a home where she can go with a pension plan and we as a charity will ensure that any age related problems are treated, so please call the charity for more information, she really is a superstar!

Maggie

Photo of Maggie

Maggie is a 7yr old larger than life Neopolitan Mastiff who has come into the centre through no fault of her own. She is an older lady for her breed and likes to spend her days lazing about on her big comfy duvet. Maggie is a lovely dog and would be happy living with a male dog and someone who can give her all the affection and love that she needs. Maggie is on painkillers to help her joints as she has been allowed to get far too overweight before she came to SARA. Don’t let this put you off though as she is a cheeky girl and still acts like a puppy in many respects and loves nothing more than walks and playing with other dogs. We would love to see Maggie in a long term foster home where she can be happy, so if you think you could offer her a forever home then please contact the centre for more information.

Finch

Photos of Finch

Finch is about 6yrs old and is one of many poor lurchers that has been used for working then neglected and cast out as a stray to fend for himself. As a result he came into SARA in a dreadful state, very underweight, covered in scars and terrified. Staff and volunteers have put endless hours of TLC into bringing this placid and gentle giant back up to full health so that he can find a new family with a cozy corner he can claim as his own. As with many members of the sight hound family he walks perfectly on the lead and enjoys nothing more that pottering around walking then snoozing in front of a nice warm fire for the rest of the day.
