Lola is an 18 month old Saluki cross.  Lola is a fantastic dog with bags of personality and energy to match.  This young girl loves playing in the pen with tennis balls and squeakers! Lola should have been a Kangaroo and not a dog as she loves to bounce and jump around.  We are hoping to home Lola with a family that have another dog as she loves going on walks with the other dogs at the centre and sometimes refuses to walk unless she has another four legged friend to walk with. Lola can live with children 1o years +.

Jimmy is a gorgeous 8 month old Saluki cross who came to S.A.R.A. following a change in his owners circumstances. Jimmy is a very active young man. He loves to race around in the pen and enjoys his walks with our other dogs.  Jimmy knows basic commands and will play fetch with our staff and volunteers. We feel Jimmy would be best homed with another dog as he loves to play. Jimmy could possibly live with older children and would need a home with no small animals.

Tina and Ruby are a beautiful pair of 5yr old Shih Tzu cross sisters who came to S.A.R.A. when their owner sadly passed away. Tina and Ruby love to go for walks together and will happily walk with our other dogs and they have lived with other dogs previously. These sisters love to play in the garden and will chase around after each other. Ruby is more outgoing whereas Tina is a little more reserved. We feel that Tina and Ruby could possibly live with children 8 and could live with another dog(s). These two lovely little girls would make someone or a family wonderful companions. Tina and Ruby will be highly sought after, therefore we will be looking for the most suitable home. RESERVED.

Charlie is a very sweet 6yr old staffy cross who came to S.A.R.A. following a change in his owners circumstances. Charlie enjoys going for walks with our volunteers as much as he enjoys relaxing in his bed with a chewy treat! Charlie will walk well alongside another dog but we feel he would be better rehomed as an only pet.

Hello, this is Minnie. Minnie is a toy poodle, 6-7 years old. She is a lovely little dog, very friendly, intelligent and affectionate. She settled well in her foster home, but sadly Minnie has had to return to kennels. Minnie would love to find a forever home with someone who enjoys walking, playing games and having cuddles.  Minnie is going to need an experienced dog owner who will continue with her training and  understand her behavioral requirements. Minnie is good with dogs when out walking but would prefer a home as an only pet. Minnie cannot live with children.  We think this little girl, with some training will make someone a beautiful companion and has so much potential, we just have to find a suitable home.

Max

Max is a 6 year old staffy cross who came to S.A.R.A. following a change in his owners circumstances. Max is a very playful and LOVES his tennis ball! Max walks well alongside other dogs but we feel he would prefer a home as an only dog. Max is very strong on lead so would benefit from a continuation of his training. Since coming to S.A.R.A., Max has already made great improvement.

Buddy is a 4 year old American bulldog cross who came into our care following a change in his owners circumstances. Buddy is a very intelligent dog who thrives when following commands for treats. Buddy enjoys playing in the pen and going for long walks with our volunteers. This poor boy is very stressed in kennels and doesn’t show himself well. We feel this is why this beautiful boy has been with us for so long. Buddy is looking for an active home with plenty of mental stimulation. He would need to be an only pet.

Rolo is a 4yr old staffy cross who came into our care after his owners circumstances changed meant that he was being left for long hours. Rolo is a very sweet dog who enjoys playing in the pen with the toys and also going for walks. Rolo also loves a good fuss in his kennel with the staff. Rolo walks well alongside our other rescue dogs but we feel he would be better homed as an only pet.

Rosie arrived at Saltburn Animal Rescue Association at the end of November 2015 as a stray at only five years old. At first glance, Rosie was absolutely skeletal and her coat was in poor condition. Once we had had a look at her, it was obvious that she was extremely dehydrated and her gums were white! We rushed her to the vets where she immediately drank five bowls of water and was placed on a drip.  She was in such poor condition that she had become diabetic! She has been as good as gold the entire time. The vets are still confident she will go in to remission from her diabetes. Rosie has insulin injections after her meals which are 12hrs apart.

She will actually finish her dinner and come over for her injection! In the last 13 months, I have got to know Rosie so well and to see how far she has come is amazing. Even more amazing is how she has taken it all in her stride. Rosie enjoys her walks with the other dogs and playing with squeaky toys but her favourite thing, I think, is having her tummy tickled. She will lie down on the grass for a tickle and I am sure she would lay there for hours if she could. There isn’t a single day where Rosie doesn’t make me smile. She is a truly spectacular dog and really deserves an amazing home of her own. OUT ON TRIAL.
