Patrick is a lovely 5yr old who came to S.A.R.A. through no fault of his own. Patrick is a very loving cat who has been overlooked because of his colour. Partick loves to spend time snuggled up in his bed and spending time with our volunteer cat cuddlers. Patrick could possibly live with another cat and children 6 . RESERVED
Sally is a gorgeous 7yrs old DSH who came to S.A.R.A. as her owner was moving abroad. Sally loves spending time curled up in her bed next to the radiator but will zoom out when she hears the meat pouches rustling in the kitchen! For more information on Sally, give us a ring on 01642 488108.
George and Angus are beautiful brothers who came to S.A.R.A. through no fault of their own. They are around four months old and are full of beans! George and Angus love racing around in their cattery and up and down the corridor. George and Angus are looking for a home where they can have access to the outdoors when they are grown up. George and Angus could live with with other cats and possibly children 7yrs+ . George and Angus have heaps of energy and would like a home of their own to run around in.
Eliza and Louis are a lovely pair of cats who came to S.A.R.A. through no fault of their own. Louis loves to stand on his cat tree and call out for our volunteers to come and give him a fuss while Eliza waits patiently in her bed until they arrive with toys and Dreamies! Eliza and Louis are looking for a home as only cats and would need to be rehomed as indoor cats.
Kiki is a beautiful 5yrs old Bengal cross who came to S.A.R.A. as she wasn’t getting along with the other cat in the house. Kiki is a very loving cat with a strong personality and would be best homed with an experienced Bengal owner. Kiki is looking for a home as an only pet and as an indoor cat. Kiki enjoys playing with her toys and spending time curled up in her warm bed.
Dolly is a beautiful 18month old, female cat who came to S.A.R.A. as a stray. Dotty craves attention and loves a good fuss! We feel Dotty could live with another cat. When we took Dotty for a routine health check, the vet sadly discovered that Dotty has a heart murmur. Dotty deserves a home where she can have a happy life with lots of love. We want to assure any potential new owner that S.A.R.A. will support them fully in whatever way necessary. If you have any questions about Dotty, do not hesitate to give us a ring at the farm and ask for a member of staff. RESERVED.
Pip is a gorgeous, 5yr old, Terrier cross. This little girl would make a wonderful addition to a loving family. We are looking for home that would ideally have an active lifestyle as Pippy loves to be out exploring new places. Pip loves to be around people and is fantastic with other dogs of all breeds it seems. We would like to re-home Pip with another dog, preferably a male, but she could live as an only pet too. Pip did go out to a wonderful home with two young children, unfortunately Pip was not sure about them an a little uneasy and sadly had to come back to the centre, therefore we are hoping to find a family with older children. This little girl has not stepped a foot wrong with us and it will be lovely if we can find the home she deserves where she can be spoiled rotten.
Milo is a very sweet, 8yr old, Terrier cross who came to S.A.R.A. following a change in his owners circumstances. Milo is a great little dog who walks well alongside our other dogs at the centre. However, we feel Milo would be better homed as an only pet as this is what he has been used to. Milo is an active dog and would enjoy long walks. He could potentially live with older children. RESERVED.
This is Jack (aka Sox) who I adopted from SARA when he was 10 years old. He came with a pension plan due to his age which meant that vets bills were covered for his existing and degenerative conditions. He had pancreatitis and the start of arthritis.
I don’t think I expected to have him that long on account of his age, and problems, but he has just left us after 7 wonderful years, proof that the older dogs can still make the best of pets!
Jack had been picked up on the streets in East Cleveland trying to fend for himself in the bins apparently! He wasn’t in great shape, not chipped and had damage to his mouth/jaw and teeth which suggested he may have been hit by something or someone. He wasn’t suited to kennel life, was nervous and fearful. He had been returned already by prospective owners after trying to dominate their bigger dogs so was back at kennels once again.
I went in and after speaking to Steven about what I was looking for in a dog he returned with another dog, and Jack/Sox. My heart melted when I saw him as he looked so bedraggled and nervous. I took him for a walk and the rest is history as they say.
He never did really see eye-to-eye with other dogs, had an ear-piercing yap and was always a dog who liked his own space, and tennis balls as you can see! – But he was the most loyal, easily pleased little dog we could have hoped for. He came everywhere with us on holiday, weekends, days out and was just happy to be with us wherever that may be.
His stomach always played him up, the arthritis got worse and about a year and a half ago he started to suffer from doggy dementia which left him incontinent. He wasn’t able to go walks anymore and seemed depressed at the end so I knew the time had come to say goodbye to our beloved pet.
Thank-you Jack for All you gave us. You leave us with a lot of treasured memories over the years and you hold a special place in our hearts forever.
Golden Slumbers. Rest in peace Little One. Xxxxx
Lola is an 18 month old Saluki cross. Lola is a fantastic dog with bags of personality and energy to match. This young girl loves playing in the pen with tennis balls and squeakers! Lola should have been a Kangaroo and not a dog as she loves to bounce and jump around. We are hoping to home Lola with a family that have another dog as she loves going on walks with the other dogs at the centre and sometimes refuses to walk unless she has another four legged friend to walk with. Lola can live with children 1o years . OUT ON TRIAL.
